Job Description:

An experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is needed for an ongoing staff position in Berkeley, California. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Radiologist and perform technical ultrasound procedures with advanced skill and precision. A sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

• Job Requirements
• Allied Health Professional with 2+ years of experience and/or training
• Associate's degree or equivalent certification from a registered school of ultrasound
• RVT certification preferred
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification
• OB/GYN certification preferred
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Demonstrates competence in all areas of ultrasound positioning
• Able to operate all ultrasound equipment, and select and modify technical factors as needed
• Provides for good patient rapport by maintaining positive and effective communication skills to alleviate patient anxiety
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
