(insert your thing here) create. ABOUT THE POSITION We're seeking a
Graphics Production Artist II, an intermediate design role
responsible for assisting the Design Team. This individual works
alongside the Graphics and Textile Designer to support the
Sportswear, Outerwear and Equipment product teams by collaborating
closely with these cross-functional partners. Works closely with
design and product development to ensure design integrity, quality,
and accuracy are met/maintained and that products are developed
within established timelines. In this role, you will have the
opportunity to interact with cross-functional partners involved in
apparel, surface and graphics design, branding, product
merchandising, materials research, manufacturing, and marketing.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Creates original CAD artwork,
consisting of color blocking, graphic placement, print, pattern,
and texture fills, that is production ready for catalog as well as
for visual presentations. This includes building seasonal CAD books
for internal customers including Merchandising, Design, and
Catalog. Assists with seasonal presentation build outs. Creates
Bill Of Materials coloration tool to be used by our Product
Developers. Meets calendar deadlines, ensuring all work objectives
and project milestones are met with strong work product output
being completed accurately and efficiently. Guides newer team
members, as necessary. Creates final mechanicals for fabric prints,
tee shirt graphics, trims, miscellaneous graphics, and completes
all associated tasks on deadline, including ink and placement
specifications, color compositions and separations, and repeats for
fabric prints. Prepare all artwork to be used in apparel cad
templates, non-sales cads, specialty cads, retail cads and outlet
cads. As well as the creation, maintenance, and distribution of CAD
books when needed. Help maintain the print and graphic strike off
review process by sending feedback to Product Development and
making changes to specifications and art when necessary. Works as a
team member in identifying general color direction on a seasonal
basis. Works to ensure all color requirements are met on a timely
basis. Emphasizes the best use of resources while maximizing color
utilization across the product division. Performs other duties as
assigned YOU ARE Passionate about the outdoors. Proactive and
resourceful, able to anticipate potential problems and suggest
possible solutions to manager. Excited about creativity,
collaboration, and exploration YOU HAVE Bachelor's degree,
applicable certification or equivalent experience with course work
in apparel design, textile, manufacturing, graphics or related
experience. Typically requires 3-5 years of work experience in
apparel design/development or related field OR equivalent work
experience in the apparel industry. Experience with outdoor
industry and apparel category preferred Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities Requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills
with strong attention to detail. Solid knowledge of fabrics and
trims associated with the development process. Solid knowledge of
general design process from concept to pre-production and garment
construction methods. Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative
Suite, with a focus on Illustrator. Solid skillset in Microsoft
Office Suite. Proactive and resourceful work style. Able to
anticipate potential problems and suggest possible solutions to
manager Ability to consistently prioritize multiple projects and
thrive under pressure to meet strict timelines. Possesses strong
written and verbal communication skills; interacts in a
professional manner with various levels of management and employees
within the organization, as well as vendors and employees
worldwide. Work performed is on a global scale with awareness of
regional differences. Solves a variety of problems that may be
somewhat difficult and varied in nature. Consults with team members
on more complex issues. Work performed will have impact on projects
beyond the department. Ability to contribute and develop new
processes to help improve workflow. Job located in Richmond, CA at
