(PST). - -Chevron is seeking a Sr. Refinery Process Engineer at the
Richmond Refinery in the San Francisco Bay Area. - Chevron is
committed to maintaining a high level of technical expertise in the
downstream organization to maintain an industry leading position in
safe, reliable, and profitable operation of its refineries. This
position is relied upon to develop and support projects to help
Chevron fulfill its goals of reducing carbon emissions and
improving gross margin at the Richmond Refinery. - Sr Engineers
also mentor early career process engineers and support operations.
This position will report to a Process Engineering Team Lead for
one of the operating divisions at the refinery.Responsibilities for
this position may include but are not limited to:
- Provide process troubleshooting support, make technical
recommendations, answer technical inquiries, improve process
engineering tools, and develop process procedures.
- Develops and supports capital projects to reduce carbon
intensity and improve the gross margin of the refinery
- Provide support to and carry out studies (PHA, DMR, LOPA, RBI,
DMI, Relief Systems, etc.) to improve plant safety, reliability,
and economics
- Help identify gaps between current performance and
best-in-class and recommend opportunities for improvement
- Conduct test runs to optimize process variables and evaluate
plant performance
- Provide technical recommendations and engineering support
during planned unit turnarounds. - This work may entail work at
heights and confined space entry
- Works in collaboration with specialists and engineers of other
disciplines
- Networks with subject matter experts in other facilities to
leverage shared expertise
- Influence and improve work processes across the refinery
- Individual schedule may require flexibility to respond to
refinery upsets during off hoursRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preferably chemical
engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant Process Engineering experience supporting
refinery operations or in process design.Preferred Qualifications:
- Have demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following
refinery process technologies: Distillation,
Hydroprocessing/Hydrocracking, Hydrogen Manufacturing, Naphtha
Reforming, Sulfur Recovery, FCC, Alkylation, Amine treating or Sour
Water processing
- 8+ year of refinery process engineering experienceRelocation
Options:Relocation may be considered.International

- The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is

selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on his
or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the
compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to
successful candidates who are hired onto local United States
payroll.
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,700 -
$209,300.
