What's in it for you?The VP of Commercialization will be the first dedicated commercial hire for our flag ship product in Regenerative Medicine, a best-in-class biopreservation solution that is removing the current CMC and cold chain bottlenecks. -In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape the early product strategy including, brand planning, launch readiness, lifecycle management, investment cases, partner alliances, and business development. This role will report to the CEO.
The individual in this role must be comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial partners, CMC, clinical, and project leadership counterparts to realize the vision of our product candidates. A recognition that patients are waiting for organ transplant, tissues for repair, and advanced Cell & Gene therapies with the top tier biopreservation is essential to both the role and to the urgency of action required for success.
What you will do:You will have experience and desire to

• Work closely with members of the Executive Team to gain organizational alignment on the cross-functional launch readiness activities needed to prepare the brand, prepare the organization, and prepare the market for launch. Draw upon deep experience in RUO tools, immunotherapy, transplant commercialization to anticipate and resolve critical issues. Lead launch readiness and review processes
• Establish and lead the X-Therma brand team at stage-appropriate level. Drive strategic brand planning process. Drive early brand strategy and message development.
• XT-Thrive - Collaborate with research and medical affairs on publication plans and continuing medical education/congress activities. Lead team responsible for driving market understanding, competitive landscape, product positioning, differentiation, and value proposition
• Develop launch plan, KPIs and dashboard. Manage pre-launch commercial activities to ensure all key milestones and KPIs are met
• Ensure alignment with management on launch strategy and plan including sales force sizing/development, staffing and launch execution. Update the executives regularly regarding status of launch activities. Ensure timely escalation of any risks to plan, along with proposed mitigations
• Act as the commercial champion on the X-Therma core team and advise on commercial, customer, and market access issues in the US and globally to prioritize evidence generation efforts
• Responsible for growing partnership portfolios through the sales and maintenance of portfolio planning to drive revenues. -Collaborate with Tech Ops and develop early channel and distribution strategies
• Develop strategy and plan to ensure rapid and broad Market Access and minimize barriers to uptake
• Lead efforts to increase market understanding of the need of DMSO-free & Serum-free biopreservation. Collaborate with our commercial partners to define commercial responsibilities and product launch strategy
• Work cross-functionally with clinical, medical, project leadership, and finance to develop business cases in support of new lifecycle investments, including target product profiles, forecasts, and valuation assumptions. Lead market research in support of business cases
• Develop meaningful relationships on behalf of the company with key opinion leaders, patient advocacy organizations, and product users
• Manage the commercialization budget, with a focus on making targeted investments with outsized impact. Create commercial launch build-out plan, resources and timelines that align with overall strategic plans. Collaborate with finance on mid-range and long-range forecast development
• Provide regular presentations in various company forums including company and Board of Directors meetings. Motivate and enlist the company in the vision of the product brand
  Qualification:This is a role best suited for a seasoned businessperson, who possesses at least 10 years of commercialization and business development experience in immunotherapy regenerative medicine with a focus on the US and with exposure to global considerations.
  
  • Prior experience in a senior management role with demonstrated record of success, preferably leading sales or consulting teams
  • A deep understanding of the structure of the US C> market including key customers, practices, guideline organizations, and payers
  • Experience in country-level market and/or sales as well as in design and implementation of global marketing strategies
  • A strong background in marketing and marketing analytics with the ability to apply learnings to strategy development
  • A strong background in out-licensing deal structures
  • Strong scientific and clinical orientation, comfort with data, able to distill complex clinical information into business implications. Has established and maintained credibility with internal and external scientific and business experts. Experience drafting labeling language to achieve commercial objectives
  • Experience with solid organ transplant clinical marketing/sales is a plus
  • Experience in early product commercialization and pricing/market access experience is desirable
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and work successfully with varied audiences including industry partners, Board of Directors, fellow management, and employees, with a strong executive presence
  • Characteristics including being entrepreneurial, collaborative, an energetic self-starter with strong interpersonal and analytical skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively with other senior management as a strategic partner and recruit and motivate talented team members
