Job DescriptionSalary: New Sun Road is a global leader in software and IoT technology for the remote management of renewable energy microgrids. We are on a mission to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to enable energy and internet access for everyone, especially underserved and remote populations.Our unique "Stellar" product line is robust and technology agnostic for an individual or a fleet of microgrids. Starting with the Stellar Edge controller, data is collected, stored, and sent to our cloud based Stellar Microgrid OS platform. The platform remote monitoring and management of large microgrid portfolios from a unified dashboard. Stellar uses AI algorithms to reduce operating costs, increase control and visibility, and maximize renewable energy usage. Our projects are diverse and impactful, including enabling digital literacy centers in the highlands of Guatemala, to providing power to a remote community in the wildfire-threatened areas of California, to supporting mobile renewable energy emergency services during natural disasters. Formed in 2014 as a for-profit public benefit company (P.B.C.) and guided by principles of environmental sustainability and economic development, New Sun Road monitors over 500 microgrids in more than 20 countries across five continents.About This RoleAs Program Manager you will work closely with Senior Management to oversee both Product Development and Enterprise Services activities. Highly visible and core to the New Sun Road's growth and development, this critical role spans several workstreams and customers and engages with several functions across the company.NSR follows Agile Development practices. You should be experienced and comfortable managing the tension between the "just in time" nature of Agile planning and the need to commit to project delivery dates. Key Contributions

  • Drive initiatives across several workstreams, identifying and resolving issues early
  • Integrate planning for Product Development & Enterprise Services activities, accounting for overlapping resources
  • Provide visibility to management regarding roadmap and service delivery timelines
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Drive operations processes with Finance to ensure revenue recognition and refine understanding of internal costs to deliver Responsibilities
    • Collaborate closely with the Chief Product Officer to prioritize activity and resource commitments
    • Provide insight into resource impact and trade-offs for Product and Services planning
    • Develop and maintain a 12-month view of the Product Roadmap delivery plan
    • Maintain Services delivery plans across all customers
    • Lead regular Services review meetings with customers
    • Work with Sales and Account Management to develop proposals
    • Identify and implement options to mitigate obstacles, delays, and project risks.
    • Provide periodic updates to management on program/project status, resource allocations, concerns and bottlenecks
    • Drive Services accounting processes, such as time logging and documentation, from project approval through completion
    • Continuously improve processes to make them easier, more efficient, more insightful and more fun
    • Balance assertive driving for results with maintaining a collegial and respectful relationships Qualifications, Experience, Interests, and Skills
      • Proven project management track record of delivering results with positive impact
      • Experience managing multi-project programs and reporting status to management
      • Successful management of software and/or hardware delivery with fast-paced development cycles
      • Experience managing customer relationships in complex business environments
      • Facility with tools for agile project planning and resource management
      • Ability to maintain both "big picture" vision and attention to detail
      • Effective communication skills and strong collaborative instincts
      • Technical background or experience in energy systems a plus
      • 3+ years of recent experience in project or program management
      • Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, New Sun Road's core missions: development of technology for propagation of renewable energy, access to energy and Internet for underserved communities
