We welcome forward thinkers, freedom chasers and all those demanding better, cleaner energy to join us.Summary of Role:SunPower is searching for an Electric Vehicle Operations Manager to lead the field implementation of a rapidly expanding new product offering. The role will be responsible for the cross-functional program and process management required to implement bidirectional EV charger installation as a new customer service workstream at SunPower. Additional responsibilities include identifying and tracking key operational performance metrics related to the new product line, and regularly reporting out trend and gap analyses with recommendations for the benefit of both internal and external business stakeholders.The ideal candidate will be competent in residential electrical design, project management, value stream mapping, and customer care. They will be expected to implement industry-leading practices for a high-volume order to cash pipeline, working with product management the broader operations organization to proactively seek out opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs.The Electric Vehicle Operations Manager is a service-focused role that is foundational to delivering SunPower's promise of leading field installation quality and customer experience, while maximizing opportunities for scalability and efficiency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product implementation project with a cross functional group of internal stakeholders representing EH&S, design, project coordination, field operations, and product management
  • Define the project plan and milestone objectives
  • Develop the metrics and tracking methods to ensure progress and achievement on schedule
  • Enhance and/or create processes to deliver orders to installation while measuring and improving safety, quality, efficiency, customer experience, and pipeline velocity
  • Define and develop processes to manage fulfillment workflows between internal employees, external subcontractors, and channel partners
  • Synthesize order forecasts by market into installation capacity plans
  • Anticipate both the needs of the customer as well as the field operations business and recommend proactive, tactical solutions to resolve potential obstacles and/or escalations
  • Develop a governance system for the project team, establishing clear and concise vision for project execution that focuses resources on completing deliverables and fosters transparency and accountability
  • Write long-form narrative memos presenting progress updates, challenges, data insights and action items to executive level business leaders
  • Hiring, management, and career development of a team as required to scale the EV Charger installation program effectivelyMinimum Qualifications:
    • The knowledge, skills, and abilities commensurate with a bachelor's or equivalent degree in business or project management, operations, engineering, or similar technical field (including the equivalent combination of education and years of related experience)
    • 3 or more years' experience in operations, lean manufacturing, customer service, project management, or related technical field
    • Knowledge of the fundamentals of residential electrical systems
    • Highly competent with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project) and mobile technology
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership attributes: people managing, decision making, negotiation, critical problem solving, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset
    • Proven ability to work as a project team leader and innovator is a must, with a service-oriented "hands-on, roll your sleeves up" work ethicPreferred Qualifications:
      • 6 or more years of experience in operations, lean manufacturing, customer service, project management
      • Strong background in home energy storage and/or renewable energy
