Job Description:
At the Eames Institute, we aim to equip everyone with the
lessons of Ray and Charles Eames, so that anyone can use design to
solve problems.
We are looking for a Communications & Creative Operations Manager
to strengthen and provide high-quality operational management to
the internal Communications & Creative team. This role includes
serving as an excellent project manager, able to track and drive
completion of numerous small and large-scale projects
simultaneously, as well as an internal ambassador to foster
effective collaboration with the Communications & Creative team.
The Communications & Creative Operations Manager will consistently
work with the Chief Brand & Marketing Officer (CBMO) as well as the
Creative Director to plan, schedule, and distribute all
communications and creative project requests.

As the Communications & Creative Operations Manager, you will be
responsible for:
Project Management
- Manage Communications & Creative Team's calendar, including
planning and managing agendas for work across design, editorial,
digital products, social media, exhibitions, and outbound
marketing.
- Create, maintain, and update project plans and production
reporting, ensuring timely communication with other team members
and relevant stakeholders-and that projects are delivered
accurately and on time.
- Provide coordination and support as needed on various projects
and tasks that contribute to the effectiveness of Communications &
Creative related-priorities. Ambassador for Communications &
Creative Team
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with other
departments and external vendors; developing and improving
processes to effectively collaborate with internal and external
resources.
- Work with CBMO & Creative Director to design and facilitate
briefing process for all Communications & Creative projects.
- Responsible for internal intake process for Communications &
Creative requests with respect to capacity and capability,
clarifying and fostering the process for how departments can
request design collaboration.
- Represent the Communications & Creative team within the
organization-liaise with other leaders and departments with respect
to current and future undertakings. Operations & Administration
- Work with the CBMO and our Operations Team (HR and finance) to
track and manage expenses and ensure that funds are being used
efficiently and in accordance with our annual operating and capital
expenditure budgets.
- Oversee internal workflow and storage for all materials,
including assets and tools for internal and vendor use.
- Assist with general administrative activities such as logistics
and scheduling for meetings to advance the work. Organization &
Culture
- Participate in and add to our culture of curiosity and
learning.
- Gather, analyze, and present data on improvements and trends in
creative project management and contribute knowledge to others
within the organization.
- Effectively develop relationships with collaborators across the
organization. Who you might be:
You may have...
- Substantial experience in creative operations and/or project
management positions
- Marketing and/or digital experience
- Previous work experience in creative start-ups and/or nonprofit
organizations
- A skill at working with others and supportively managing
others' expectations You are someone who...
- Is able to take in many inputs, and designate and articulate a
clear point of view on next steps
- Can multi-task and tend to many projects at once, while also
having the discernment for when additional support is needed
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has an understanding
of the creative process What you can expect:

- Base salary: $105,000 - $125,000
