AngelesThe Community You Will Join:The Space team at Airbnb is a
cross-functional group comprising Real Estate, Design &
Construction, Space Operations & Management, and Space Central
Services. This role plays a critical part in driving high-impact
project execution by leading end-to-end planning, coordination, and
delivery of complex programs and initiatives. From discovery to
implementation and evaluation, the Project Manager of Space
Transformation will ensure Space initiatives are executed
efficiently, with clear alignment to team goals and organizational
priorities.While the core focus is on project management, this role
also supports central services in delivering effective change
management strategies for space transformation initiatives. The
ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

work.This position is part of the Space Central Services group and
requires strong partnerships across Airbnb's Employee Experience,
Space, and partner teams. You will need to be skilled in building
relationships at all levels, aligning stakeholders, and translating
strategy into action.The Difference You Will Make:We are seeking a
strategic and hands-on Project Manager of Space Transformation to
lead and coordinate a portfolio of initiatives that shape Airbnb's
evolving workplace. This includes managing various Space team
initiatives, workplace technology rollouts, and updates to
space-related processes and policies. You will be responsible for
ensuring milestones are met, risks are managed, and projects
deliver measurable results.In addition to project management, this
role will support Space Central Services in change management
planning and execution for broader initiatives-helping to ensure
strong adoption and cross-functional alignment across the
company.You are someone who thrives in dynamic environments,
communicates with clarity and empathy, and knows how to execute
while keeping people at the center of the workplace experience.A
Typical Day:
- Lead end-to-end project management of Space initiatives,
including timelines, resources, stakeholder engagement, and
delivery assurance, such as:
- Develop and implement transition management strategies and
plans that maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance
- Develop a listening strategy as it relates to Space in
partnership with our cross functional partners.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of transition initiatives
through feedback, surveys, and key performance indicators.
- Partner with various data and metrics teams to translate
employee sentiment and workplace utilization data into actionable
strategies for Space programming and workplace transformation.
- Collaborate with Design & Construction, Real Estate, and
Operations teams to coordinate and align efforts across multiple
projects.
- Partner on the design and execution of communication plans to
ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and engagement activities to
foster a culture of transition resilience.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and status reviews,
keeping leaders and teams informed and accountable.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of project
delivery frameworks and best practices for the Space team.
- Maintain project documentation, report progress to leadership,
and capture lessons learned for future initiatives.Your Expertise:
- 8+ years program or project management experience
- Minimum 3 years working in a role with global responsibility
and taking a global perspective into account when approaching your
work
- Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) a
plus.
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks such as
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar methodologies is a plus.
- Experience leading large-scale change and project management
initiatives.
- Familiarity with workplace strategy, office redesign, and
hybrid work environments.
- Proven track record of establishing relationships, influencing
and negotiating competing priorities with both internal and
external partners
- Exhibit strong analytical, conceptual thinking, strategic
planning and execution skills
- Requires someone with superior written and oral communication
skills; including briefing/training skills, and the ability to have
executive presence while also being someone that excels at sitting
back and listening.
