Job Description:

Familias Unidas is seeking to hire two FT time therapists to provide trauma-informed clinical services to children and adults under a partnership with the Contra Costa County Family Justice Center. One therapist will serve both adults and children who have been victims of violent crimes and be part of a multidisciplinary team in the county's first Trauma Recovery Center. Services may be provided in the home or in the field based on client needs. The second position will serve primarily children and youth (and their respective families) who have been victims of abuse or neglect, or have witnessed domestic violence. These positions will be placed at the Family Justice Center's office in Richmond and be part of their multidisciplinary teams. These positions are good for clinicians collecting hours towards their licensure. Individual, group supervision, and professional development training are provided. Agency Description: Familias Unidas exists to improve wellness and self-sufficiency in Latino and other communities. We accomplish this by delivering quality mental health counseling, service advocacy, and information/referral services. Our programs include: mental health, education and prevention, youth development, and wrap-around services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 1. Provision of clinical services, including clinical assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and case management linkage to youth and adult victims of violent crime in an outpatient setting and in the field. 2. Maintain appropriate caseload of 15-20 clients (FTE). 3. Conduct intakes and assessments, diagnostic and treatment formulation, implementation of treatment plan, and maintenance of case records. 4. Research and provide information, education, and case management advocacy as needed. 5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, other providers, and school personnel regarding individual clients as appropriate. 6. Provide individual and family counseling in an outpatient office and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. 7. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. MSW or MA in counseling psychology or social work, with an interest in working towards licensure. 2. Registration with California BBS as AMFT, ASW, or APCC. 3. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in mental health or social services field. B. Diversity/ Language Skills: 1. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred (required for one of the positions). 2. Cultural sensitivity with the African-American and Latinx communities. 3. Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills 4. People of color are strongly encouraged to apply.
