(CLI) (Caregiver for Individuals with Disabilities) A Bright
Future, Inc. specializes in supporting individuals with
developmental and intellectual disabilities to live safely,
independently, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.
We are currently seeking Community Living Instructors (CLIs) —
compassionate, reliable caregivers who are committed to empowering
individuals through hands-on instruction, encouragement, and
support. Position Overview Community Living Instructors (CLIs)
provide direct care, instruction, and supervision to individuals
with disabilities. This role focuses on teaching essential
independent living skills, supporting daily routines, and ensuring
the health, safety, and well-being of participants in their homes
and throughout the community. CLIs play a vital role in helping
participants build confidence, independence, and meaningful
community connections. Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Support &
Instruction Provide one-on-one support to individuals with
disabilities in their homes and community settings. Teach and
reinforce independent living skills, including: Personal hygiene
and self-care Meal preparation and nutrition Household tasks
(cleaning, laundry, organization) Time management and daily
routines Support participants in developing social, communication,
and self-advocacy skills. Community Integration Assist individuals
with community activities such as: Shopping and errands Medical or
personal appointments Recreational and social outings Public
transportation training (as applicable) Encourage participation in
community life while promoting independence and safety. Health,
Safety & Well-Being Monitor participant safety at all times and
follow individualized support plans. Assist with medication
reminders and documentation (as permitted and trained). Observe and
report changes in behavior, health, or emotional well-being to
supervisors. Implement basic behavior support strategies and
de-escalation techniques as trained. Documentation & Communication
Complete accurate and timely documentation, including: Daily
service notes Incident reports (when applicable) Progress updates
related to goals Communicate effectively with supervisors, team
members, and families as appropriate. Follow all agency policies,
confidentiality standards, and state/regional center regulations.
Professional Expectations Attend required trainings and team
meetings. Maintain professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
Uphold a respectful, patient, and person-centered approach at all
times. QualificationsMinimum Requirements 18 years of age or older
Drug Screening CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to
obtain within 90 days of hire) Negative TB test Department of
Justice fingerprint clearance (prior to employment) Genuine passion
for caregiving and supporting individuals with disabilities
Training Provided No prior experience required Mandatory paid
training will be provided before working independently with
participants Ongoing support and supervision available Compensation
