Occupational Therapist Location: Santa Cruz, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,264 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Occupational Therapist Specialty: Occupational Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 Years Required License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: - 2 years of acute experience - Experience with ortho, neuro, and cardiac - ICU experience preferred - Experience with bedside swallow assessments - Experience with modified barium swallow studies preferred - Ability to work with cognition issues - Spanish-speaking candidates preferred - Experience in outpatient or home health preferred - Experience with physical disabilities preferred Description: The role involves working in a rehabilitation setting that supports a variety of patients. Common patient diagnoses include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and cardiac rehabilitation. This position requires flexibility to float between units within the hospital and to acute rehabilitation. Shifts are 8 hours in duration, typically starting around 6:30 AM, with varying end times and a 30-minute lunch break. Staffing and scheduling are managed by designated personnel to ensure appropriate coverage. Every other weekend commitment is required, with the possibility of working all weekends, offering weekdays off in return. Holiday shifts will be filled through a sign-up process. Candidates should have a strong background in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation practices. This position may involve pediatric patients, though experience in pediatrics is not a requirement for travelers.
