Job Description Job Description Job Summary: The Food Service Attendant – Dishwasher/Catering Worker provides high-quality service, ensures timely catering setup and breakdown, and supports dish room operations to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient kitchen workflow Key Responsibilities: Catering Services Review daily catering orders and prepare required coffee/beverages, salads, sandwiches, and boxed meals. Organize and deliver catering setups; ensure professional presentation with proper service ware and condiments. Break down and clean up catering services after events; clean and maintain catering equipment. Communicate with customers, assist with service requests, and complete documentation for billing. Support food inventory stocking, food prep, and supply distribution. Dish Room & Food Service Support Operate dish machine, pot sink, sanitation stations, and all ware-washing equipment. Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and service equipment. Record dish machine temperatures and test sanitizer pH levels as required. Maintain clean, safe work areas; remove trash, break down boxes, follow proper sanitation procedures. Follow all infection control, food safety, temperature, labeling, and stock rotation standards. Assist in cafeteria service or patient services dish room (including breaking down trays) when needed. Customer Service & Safety Provide friendly, professional service that aligns with ChristianaCare values of Excellence and Love. Interact respectfully with patients, staff, and visitors. Report safety concerns and follow all regulatory and departmental safety protocols. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen safety Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot kitchen environment Reliable, flexible, and comfortable with a mix of catering and dish room duties Able to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Preferred: 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or institutional food service Food Handler’s Certificate or ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Education: High School Certification: ServSafe certification , Food Handler’s Certificate Company Description Compunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
