Android Lead Developer (On site)Cognizant is looking for an expert top-notch Lead Android developer to grow with our dev team! An individual with a strong background in Android Architecture & Design Coroutines Android Jetpack Mockito Kotlin and Android SDK. This role requires expertise in Business Performance Management and will operate in a hybrid work model with day shifts. No travel is required.Location: Pleasanton, CaliforniaRoles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of Android applications ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Oversee the integration of Android Jetpack components to enhance application functionality.
• Provide expertise in Kotlin programming to develop robust and maintainable code.
• Implement Coroutines for efficient asynchronous programming within Android applications.
• Utilize Mockito for unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.
• Ensure the best possible performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
• Maintain code quality organization and automatization.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure applications remain current.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices and coding standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process.
• Support the team in achieving business performance management goals.Required Qualifications:
  • 9+ years of experience with strong Android app development skills
  • Possess strong experience in Android Architecture & Design.
  • Have expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
  • Show experience with Android Jetpack components.
  • Have a solid understanding of unit testing with Mockito.
  • Exhibit knowledge in Business Performance Management.
  • Displaying excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Can work effectively in a hybrid work model.
  • Show strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Maintain a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
