Our mission is to restore the reputations of those accused of crimes and help them plan for the future.--We are seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with experience in a private criminal defense setting or a Public Defender's office. Candidates with jury trial, preliminary hearing, and felony experience are preferred but we are willing to train and coach hardworking and committed advocates.--Candidates must be high energy, be willing to hit the ground running, and manage their time and cases effectively. The case volume is high and moves fast but we are committed to providing quality customer service for every client in the firm. We are seeking candidates who take pride in their work and are willing to work hard to produce high-quality deliverables. Strong oral and written advocacy skills are required.

Responsibilities:
--- Prepare for hearings in advance, research potential issues, guide the clients clearly and provide strategic advice
--- Advocate for and secure the best possible outcome for clients
--- Draft and submit motions and other filings on time - meeting internal and external deadlines
--- Arrive at work and court on time in professional and appropriate attire
--- Maintain a good rapport with clients and treat them with respect
--- Participate in ongoing training as required by the Firm

Qualifications:
--- 1-6 years of Criminal Defense experience
--- High energy and eager to learn
--- Strong research and writing skills
--- Must be prepared and punctual
--- Excellent time Management Skills
--- Committed to providing high-quality client service
--- Possess a J.D. and be in good standing with the State Bar of CA
