ContainerWorld is looking for an Information Security Specialist in our Richmond, BC office.About ContainerWorld:ContainerWorld located in Richmond, British Columbia is a premier logistics provider for the beverage industry; privately owned company with approximately 550 employees throughout its ten BC facilities. ContainerWorld also operates in Ontario.We are a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing, and distribution Company. We have a Warehouse Management System to include voice picking, interleaved put-away/replenishment and license plated inventory with RF scanning. Our automation also includes an ERP, CRM, Truckmate, Sage, Kronos and other applications to prime us for present and future expansions. ContainerWorld actively supports Lean Six Sigma concepts.Job Type: -Regular - Full-TimeWorking Days & Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pmPOSITION OVERVIEW:The Information Security Specialist position works independently with some guidance from others as required, supporting the overall information security of the company. This includes compliance of security best practices, supporting cyber security mitigation systems and on-going training of emerging threats and countermeasures. Is responsible for efficiency and effectiveness of own work. Responsibilities have considerable impact on the short-term efficient operations of his/her own area and some other areas/department.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define, implement, and audit best practices for I.T. infrastructure and system administration
• Design, implement and support information security system solutions
• Daily monitoring, investigating and incident response of information security platforms and user incident reports
• Define and perform counteractive protocols for risk identification
• Maintain training and awareness of emerging threats and counter measure technologies
• Assist with IT infrastructure hardware and system administration as required
• Assist with overflow and relief support for helpdesk support services as required -REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 to 3 years experience or specialist certificate/diploma plus 4 to 6 years experience, or at least 6 to 9 years related experience
