Ametek, Inc. Job title: Optical Manufacturing JOB--DESCRIPTION
Perform optical fabricating processes including but not limited to:
coring, sawing, curve generating, plano generating, beveling,
blocking, lapping, polishing, testing, cleaning, assembly and other
related and similar duties for the Zygo Extreme Precision Optics
Group in Richmond, CA. Zygo EPO is a leading edge optics company
working in the field of optical component and subsystem design and
manufacture to the highest tolerances and requirements in the
world. Perform simple set ups and operate optical equipment under
direct supervision of a Technician I or above. Collaborate with
management and planning group to meet on-time delivery schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow written and verbal instruction in the training and
execution of optical manufacturing processes
- Execute all processes as instructed and demonstrate the ability
to learn and become independently proficient in their repeat
execution
- Maintain work area and equipment in an orderly condition
- Follow prescribed safety rules and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and work to written and verbal
instructions
- Requires written and verbal communication skills
- Aptitude for handling optical components
- Must have interpersonal skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The
