p.m. (PST).------ -The Electrical Distribution Coordinator (EDC)
position reports to the U&E Refinery Lead Electrical Specialist
at the Chevron Richmond Refinery. The EDC will interface with many
different groups and disciplines within the refinery including
Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Technical, Planning, and
Contractors. The EDC is responsible for coordinating and executing
electrical isolations for project activities, unit turnaround
activities, and planned / unplanned electrical maintenance, to
drive high mechanical availability of the Refinery Electrical
Distribution System. - - -Responsibilities for this position may
include but are not limited to:--- -
- Coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, project work and with
outside Utilities to drive high mechanical availability of
Refinery's Power system.--- -
- Provide guidance, perform switching operations for routine
maintenance, repairs, and new installations, and serve as expert
resource for the refinery 115kv - 480V transmission and
distribution system.--- -
- Analyze various existing power systems and recommend changes as
required. This includes in-plant systems in other Operating
Business Units in addition to the Utilities Division system.
Provide advice to engineering groups as requested. (This requires
knowledge of protective relaying systems.)--- -
- Identify and assist troubleshooting on issues within the
electrical distribution system, including transformers, switches,
breakers, and other components. -
- Coordinate efforts with other functional teams and SMEs to stay
in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.--- -
- Assist the Refinery Lead Electrical Specialist, Maintenance and
Project Groups, in a team environment to achieve business plan
goals.--- -
- Balance PM schedule to enable Division to adhere to weekly
budget and for maintenance to forecast predictable manpower
requirements.--- -
- Participate in scoping, planning, and executing maintenance
activities of the Refinery Power Systems.--------- -
- Act as a representative for a variety of capital and special
projects as required.------ -
- Develop and implement work process improvements within the area
and across the refinery.--- -
- Manage / supervise the Special Assignments Operators as
required.--- -
- Train Maintenance and Operations on revised PPE and Arc Flash
calculations as conditions change at specific locations.--- -
- Conduct various classes associated with electrical safety. This
includes training classes for Electrical Safe Work Practices, Arc
Flash/Blast for Utilities Operators and other Operating Business
Units as well as Technical and Maintenance.--- -
- Perform field audits of electricians.--- - -Required
Qualifications:--- - -
- 3 years' field experience in Electrical engineering, Electrical
Maintenance, or Electrical operations of low, medium and high
voltage power distribution systems - -
- Ability to function in several capacities within the group:
including leader, team member, resource, and coach.--- -
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication
skills. - -Relocation Options: -Relocation may be considered.

- The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is

selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on his
or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the
compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to
successful candidates who are hired onto local United States
payroll. -
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $97,800 -
$168,400. -
