You are an advocate for the user and the design process and care
deeply about all the details because you know it's these details
and moments that matter that enable great end-to-end experiences.
You embrace ambiguity and thrive in complexity.In this roleYou'll
be the Lead Content Strategist representing SVB's commitment to
user-centricity by carefully developing clear, concise and
meaningful content that helps our customers accomplish their
digital banking tasks and goals. Your responsibilities will go
beyond ux writing to include defining the content strategy for
end-to-end user journeys (e.g., navigation solutions, taxonomy
recommendations, etc.). You will be expected to use data, market
insights and user feedback to optimize the content experience and
articulate a point of view to inform designs. You'll help improve
their digital banking experiences including online banking, loan
applications, onboarding and client communications. Your daily work
will include partnering closely with Product Managers, Developers,
User Researchers and Designers to develop a strategy, organize and
create content and enable the delivery of user experiences that
help our clients manage their company's financials.
- Once here, you will:
- Create simple, useful and engaging content following our brand
guidelines to make the end-product easier to use for
customers.
- Develop and drive cohesive product narratives across multiple
user touchpoints and user experiences.
- Partner with designers and product managers to outline the
conversation flow and navigation ideas for our digital bank
experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Visual UI
Designers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business
objectives, needs and constraints while creating creative and
thoughtful solutions.
- Be a customer advocate with an in-depth understanding of SVB's
customer needs and their end-to-end journey.
- Extend brand guidelines to define digital content standards -
support and manage content reviews, workshops and design sprints
across the organization.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to get approval for
product and design partners.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Digital Content
Strategy OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience
in Digital Content Strategy.Preferred Qualifications:
- A self-driven empath who's motivated to understand customers'
needs and transform complex experiences into plain language that
helps them meet those needs.
- A hybrid expert with experience in both strategic visioning and
tactical content production.
- An effective communicator who can confidently present complex
content and design concepts clearly and persuasively across
different audiences at varying levels of the organization,
including senior leadership.
- A design-thinking advocate who understands the need to balance
product requirements, user needs and business goals and can adapt
and collaborate accordingly to deliver designs.
- A broad content strategy toolkit to draw from (i.e., concepting
to scoping to writing).
- A self-directed mindset combined with good judgment to be able
to comfortably, and regularly, shift from strategic work, at a high
level of altitude for some initiatives, to deeper dive tactical
content solutioning on some projects.
- A flexible attitude to effectively contribute and support a
variety of content projects.
- 10-15 years of experience writing for the web, user experience
design and financial services.
- A strong portfolio of work defining user experiences, visual
and interaction design through human-centered design solutions with
a focus on simplifying and improving user experience through
tactical writing and content strategy.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and collaboration
skills.
- The ability to provide direction on multiple projects in
various stages of the product lifecycle and effectively deliver in
a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in and an understanding of an Agile
development environment.
- Proficiency with platforms like Figma, Mural and JIRA for
partnering with developers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English composition,
communications, HCI, design - or equivalent experience.This job

is generally between $135,073.00 and $182,745.00. Actual starting
base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location,
and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some
roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives,
bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of
