Extended Care Program MonitorOur SchoolThe International School of San Francisco is a PK-12 independent school in San Francisco. It is also of paramount importance to us that we continue to foster an environment of diversity, equity, and inclusion as we build a school community of individuals who are an actual representation of the world in which we live.Position Overview:The Extended Care Program Monitor will work directly with a group of 30+ students in grades K to 5 to design, coordinate, and deliver our school's after-school program. The Extended Care Program provides a safe, fun, and caring environment for our students and acts as an extension of the school day.Schedule:

  • The position available during the school year is for approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Lunch: 11:00 - 1:00
  • Recesses: 1:30p - 2:30p
  • After-school: 3:00 - 6:00The monitor will be working full time during our week-long school breaks:
  • October 7 - 11
  • February 17 - 21
  • April 4 - 11Key responsibilities:
  • Active supervision of children indoor and outdoor
  • Plan activities (sports, arts and crafts---) with co-workers
  • Communication with parents and staff
  • Oversee schedules, arrival/dismissal of students
  • Resolve any conflicts by implementing social emotional learning
  • Set up, take down, and clean up to ensure overall cleanliness of spaceQualifications:
    • Enthusiastic, fast learner, proactive
    • Team-worker with strong communication skills
    • Experience working and developing age-appropriate activities with children ages 5-10 preferred but not required
    • Fluency in French is a plus but not required
    • Eligible to work in the USWe offer $25/hr and a dynamic work environment.Live scan background and TB clearance required.Must be eligible to work in the US.
