Job Description:
Logistics Manager Location: Richmond, CAPosition Summary:This
position is responsible for policy implementation, toolbox safety
meetings, accident investigations, safety inspections/audits,
jobsite safety/risk analysis, OSHA recordkeeping, providing safety
orientation for new hires and training of personnel on general
industry topics.This position offers: Medical Dental Vision
Year-end-bonus Responsibilities: Minimum 5-7 years operational and
staff management experience. Versatility, flexibility, and a
willingness to work within constantly changing priorities Four-year
college degree or equivalent experience is required Partners with
other warehouse management team members to support operations of
warehouse drivers Manages all Customer Delivery Logistics Partners.
(Third party delivery services transporting products for delivery.)
Plans the day-to-day delivery schedules, develops methods to
provide quality service to customers. Authorizes overtime and
controls costs within the department of responsibility. Create and
monitor KPIs to ensure goals are properly tracked and being met.
Confers with Sales to focus on meeting customer service objectives.
Responsible for Driver safety training program and operating
procedures (DOT / OSHA) Conducts ongoing staff training and
incentive programs with formal routine performance evaluations.
Measures and coordinates the assessment of customer satisfaction
for services. Maintains the CHEP pallet program documentation to
ensure pallet exchange documentation with all trucking companies.
Responsible for resolution and investigation of non-routine
customer delivery issues Routine travel between the two facilities
Physical Standards:Includes bending, squatting, reaching, walking,
standing, carrying, and lifting average of 50 pounds or more. The
